Semolina halva with turmeric & chocolate sauce

For the syrup
  • 800 gr water
  • 250 gr coconut sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 cloves
  • 50 gr coconut oil
For halvah
  • 50 gr coconut oil
  • 80 gr almonds without skin
  • 300 gr semolina
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
Chocolate sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (60 gr) coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons agave syrup or honey
  • 2 tablespoons cacao
  • 2 tablespoons coconut milk or rice milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  1. Put all ingredients for the syrup in a saucepan and stir for about 5 minutes in medium heat.
  2. In another saucepan, add 50 gr of coconut oil and almonds to roast in medium heat. Stir until light brown.
  3. Add semolina to the roasted almonds and stir for about 5 minutes again in medium heat.
  4. Add the syrup and stir for another 5 minutes reducing heat to low.
  5. Empty the mixture in a form with a hole in the middle and let it cool down.
Chocolate sauce
  1. Put all the ingredients in a small bowl, mix well with a spoon until sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  2. Serve on a large plate and garnish with Chocolate sauce, strawberries, chamomile or almonds.
