Semolina halva with turmeric & chocolate sauce
- 800 gr water
- 250 gr coconut sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 cloves
- 50 gr coconut oil
- 50 gr coconut oil
- 80 gr almonds without skin
- 300 gr semolina
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 tablespoons (60 gr) coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons agave syrup or honey
- 2 tablespoons cacao
- 2 tablespoons coconut milk or rice milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Put all ingredients for the syrup in a saucepan and stir for about 5 minutes in medium heat.
- In another saucepan, add 50 gr of coconut oil and almonds to roast in medium heat. Stir until light brown.
- Add semolina to the roasted almonds and stir for about 5 minutes again in medium heat.
- Add the syrup and stir for another 5 minutes reducing heat to low.
- Empty the mixture in a form with a hole in the middle and let it cool down.
- Put all the ingredients in a small bowl, mix well with a spoon until sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Serve on a large plate and garnish with Chocolate sauce, strawberries, chamomile or almonds.
